The accident occurred early in the morning around 06:00 on Avşa Island. The vehicle driven by Ali Ümit, owner of Tanz Tourism Enterprises, overturned on the road. Health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification by the bystanders. Ali Ümit was determined to have lost his life after a medical examination by the health teams. Ümit's body was sent to the Bursa Forensic Medicine Institute for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. Ali Ümit, who has been active in the tourism sector on Avşa Island for many years and is a beloved figure by the island residents, passed away, causing great sorrow. It was learned that Ali Ümit's funeral will take place on Tuesday, 12th of August, following the afternoon prayer at Avşa Fatih Mosque, and he will be laid to rest in the district cemetery after the funeral prayer.
