According to preliminary reports, there are casualties as a result of a collision between a passenger bus and a truck in Çanakkale. The passenger bus with license plate number 17 AHT 624, belonging to Çanakkale Truva Turizm, collided with a truck loaded with wood on the Ayvacık-Ezine highway. Upon notification, health, fire brigade, gendarmerie, and police teams were dispatched to the scene of the accident. The Çanakkale Governorate made an initial statement, indicating that around 12:45, a traffic accident involving a bus, a truck, and a car occurred beyond the Anıtyağ location on the Çanakkale-Ezine highway. The statement mentioned that according to initial assessments, 5 people lost their lives and 11 were injured in the accident. The injured were taken to hospitals and an investigation into the accident has been initiated. Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç, in a social media post about the accident, stated that a judicial investigation was launched by the Ezine Prosecutor's Office, with the assignment of 2 Public Prosecutors, ensuring a meticulous investigation.
