Jabar Ali (24), driving a salon car with license plate number FE 441, was speeding and driving recklessly towards the south when he tried to overtake the vehicles ahead of him. While making the pass, the driver swerved into the right lane to avoid colliding with oncoming vehicles and attempted to get back into his own lane with a sudden maneuver. In the process, he collided with the rear of a truck with license plate number 16 BIK 566 driven by Ali Yahşi (53), who was traveling in the same direction. As a result of the collision, Jınnat Kazı (35), a passenger in the FE 441 plated car, was injured. The injured person was taken to Nicosia Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital by ambulance called to the scene. It was reported that Kazı's treatment was ongoing. The police stated that the investigation into the accident is continuing.
