Abdurrahman Göncü (69), who was hit by a light commercial vehicle while trying to cross the road in Nusaybin district of Mardin, lost his life. The accident occurred in the afternoon at the Industrial Site Junction on the international Silk Road in Nusaybin district. Abdurrahman Göncü, who was trying to cross the road, was hit by a light commercial vehicle, the driver's name and plate of which have not been learned yet. Health and police teams were dispatched to the scene of the accident upon notification. Injured Göncü was taken to Nusaybin State Hospital by ambulance after initial intervention. Despite all the efforts of the doctors, Göncü could not be saved. Göncü's body was taken to the hospital morgue for an autopsy. The driver of the light commercial vehicle was taken into custody.
