Between April 28 and May 4, 2025, a total of 39 traffic accidents occurred in the police responsibility area of Ordu province, resulting in 46 injuries. As part of efforts to reduce traffic accidents, 18,715 vehicles were inspected during the operations, and 3,129 drivers were penalized under various articles of the Highway Traffic Law due to various violations. Additionally, 34 vehicles were impounded, and 66 drivers had their licenses revoked during the inspections. Among the violations, penalties were imposed on 66 drivers for driving under the influence, 68 for using vehicles that did not meet technical requirements, 54 for improper lane changes, 98 for running a red light, 952 for exceeding the speed limit, 91 for using a mobile phone while driving, 109 for not wearing a seatbelt, and 95 for not wearing a helmet. Furthermore, 2 drivers were fined for performing drifts.
