Polisin İskele-Ercan Anayolu'ndaki trafik kazasıyla ilgili açıklaması

According to information obtained from the Police Press Office, an accident occurred when the vehicle with license plate number SC 470, driven by Merve Avcı (F-31), carelessly veered to the right side of the road near the village of Gönendere while heading towards Ercan. At that moment, it collided head-on with the vehicle with license plate number JG 463 coming from the opposite direction. In the accident, the driver of the vehicle with license plate number JG 463, Glody Malekera Bachibone (M-24), and passenger Lydia Cırımwanı Binja (F-21) lost their lives. Euphrosıne Zahabu Kitenge (F-22), who was a passenger in the same vehicle, was seriously injured and taken to Gazimağusa State Hospital, where she was placed under observation in the Surgical Services department. Plamedı Bısoka Bachunge (F-22) is receiving intensive care treatment at Nicosia Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital, while Maroyı Christ Vie Bisoka (M-21) is being kept under observation in the emergency department of the same hospital. Merve Avcı, the driver of the vehicle with license plate number SC 470, was taken to the emergency department for treatment, while her children who were passengers in the same vehicle are being treated at the Children's Surgical Services. The police announced that the investigation into the accident is ongoing.
