Tatilin ilk 8 gününde 'ana kavşak'tan 815.000 araç geçti.
During the period from March 26 to April 5, around 815,000 vehicle crossings were recorded in Kırıkkale, a crucial junction on the routes of 43 provinces due to the Ramadan holiday. The intense traffic flow experienced throughout the city during the holiday was closely monitored by the law enforcement teams of the Provincial Security Directorate using both on-field presence and technologically supported systems. With 535 City Security Management System (CSMS) cameras set up at 154 points across the city, traffic movements were continuously monitored round the clock, focusing on violations such as red light running, seat belt usage, and mobile phone usage. Violations detected by the on-field traffic team and camera systems were subject to punitive action against the drivers. From March 26 to April 5, a total of 97 traffic accidents occurred citywide as the traffic density peaked. Within the law enforcement zone, one individual lost their life, while 68 others sustained injuries in the accidents, and 56 accidents resulted in material damages. The traffic units maintained 24/7 field duty to ensure a smooth flow of traffic, promptly responding to accidents to prevent potential adverse impacts. Isa Söğüt, the Traffic Registration and Inspection Branch Manager of the Provincial Security Directorate, highlighted the effective use of cameras in managing traffic flow and safety during the congested traffic period. Noting Kırıkkale's strategic position in the road transportation network, serving as a passage point from the Eastern and Southeastern Anatolian regions to the western regions, Söğüt emphasized that a total of 815,000 vehicles passed through the city from March 26 to April 5, with a daily average crossing of approximately 75,000 vehicles. He underscored the importance of constant traffic monitoring throughout the city, especially during periods like the Ramadan holiday, characterized by increased traffic density. Söğüt pointed out that traffic density contributes to accidents and stated, "Unfortunately, traffic accidents occurred during the period of heavy traffic flow. Since March 26, a total of 97 traffic accidents have been reported in our province. In these accidents, one citizen lost their life, 40 were recorded as injuries, and a total of 68 citizens were injured. Fifty-six accidents were classified as material damage incidents." He stressed the active use of technological capabilities to ensure traffic safety, mentioning the tracking of city traffic using 535 cameras located at 154 points. Instant identification of accidents allows rapid deployment of teams to the accident site for timely intervention in injury cases and necessary assistance to manage traffic smoothly. Söğüt highlighted that real-time monitoring through CSMS has reduced the intervention time in accidents and effectively managed traffic flow, ensuring the enforcement of traffic rules such as seat belt and helmet usage, mobile phone restrictions, and red light violations through cameras. He concluded his statements by wishing drivers a safe journey with the message, "May the road ahead be accident-free."
